I have combined my love of the gaming franchise Monster Hunter and my love of Japanese folklore/mythology.

Kappa 河童 are Japanese river spirits that exsist in the yokai category of Japanese folklore. Their power originates from the water filled bowl (sara) on the top of their heads, when the water spills the creature becomes powerless.
